Main purpose of the monitoring and folowing technical conditions evaluation is to prevent and eliminate possible failure and avoid economical losses on both the structure itself and in the downstream area as well. Evaluations we carry out can be divided into two categories.

 

First category is evaluation of the long term behavior of the water structures. This is based on the installed equipment  and regular inspections as described in the bookmarks Installations and Inspections. Long time monitoring can prevent risk situations and damages on the water structures and downstream area as well. Evaluations are often based on the statistic data analyses and conclusions are  usually suggestions of remediation, improvements of handling and operational regulations or monitoring system modernization. 

 

Second category is immediate evaluation when risk situation appears and quick reaction is needed. These situations usually appear on the medium and small dams without regular monitoring.
